My priorities for a stronger Lyon County:

Controlled and responsible growth

that safeguards Lyon County's cherished rural character, vital water resources, and overall quality of life, while welcoming sustainable opportunities and development that align with and support our traditional way of life, agriculture, heritage, and long-term community stability.


Youth

recreation and opportunities are vital. Seeking these investments for improvements in parks, sports programs, trails, and community activities to keep our kids engaged and excited about staying in Lyon County is vital for protecting Lyon County's future.

Why Micah?

  • Multi-generational Nevadan

    As a proud multi-generational Nevadan and lifelong Lyon County resident, Micah is deeply rooted in our shared history, rural values, and way of life. Raised to put service of others above self, and raising his own family right here with the same character.  


    "I understand what makes our community special, and I'm committed to protecting it for generations to come."

  • Leadership Experience

    Degree in Fire Science and Administration, providing specialized knowledge in emergency services leadership, operations, and public safety management. This directly applicable to advocating for strong public safety and emergency preparedness infrastructure in Lyon County.

  • Fiscal Responsibility

    Completing his second undergraduate degree in Financial Economics this May with honors from Alpha Chi (national honor society for academic excellence) and Delta Mu Delta (international honor society in business), equipping him with advanced knowledge in fiscal responsibility, economic analysis, budgeting, and strategic growth to deliver transparent, balanced, and resident-first county decisions.

  • Protecting Our Families

    Nearly 18 years as a professional Firefighter/EMT/Hazardous Material Technician across the Quad County in Northern Nevada (including Captain, Engine Operator, and Firefighter Medic, and Volunteer roles), plus service as a paid reserve firefighter and adjunct instructor for the Nevada State Fire Marshal—hands-on expertise in public safety, emergency response, and protecting our families.

  • Economic Development

    Through championing economic development with proven leadership in the Yerington Chamber of Commerce (serving as Board member, Vice President, and President) Micah actively promotes local businesses, helps organize community events, advocates for  job creation, and fosters the support for sustainable economic growth. 


    Micah was also recently appointed to the City of Yerington's Planning Commission, bringing hands-on experience in land use, responsible development, and long-term planning to support a thriving local economy that fits the needs for Lyon County.


  • Engaged

    Micah is deeply engaged in local civics through regular attendance and participation in City of Yerington meetings and initiatives. Micah stays well-informed on governance, infrastructure projects, and community needs that directly affect District 5 residents and the broader Lyon County area, ensuring decisions reflect real local priorities and voices.

  • Informed

    Micah stays deeply informed by actively following and engaging with Lyon County Commission, & planning meetings to track county-wide issues, decisions, and resident concerns. 


    Micah also evaluates macro-economic factors, such as regional employment trends, labor market dynamics, industry growth projections, and fiscal impacts, to help drive balanced, forward-thinking local decisions that prioritize long-term stability, job creation, and community prosperity. 

  • Connecting

    our communities as the developer of the upcoming “TownY” app (“Wherever, Whenever, Always Local”). 


    Micah is building and investing in innovative tools to strengthen resident connections, boost small businesses, and enhance local engagement, by creating a purposeful platform that cultivates sustainable community growth and keeps Lyon County thriving together.

  • Development

    of tourism and family events. As a Board of Directors member for Farmy’s Off-Road Park (Farmy Inc.),Micah is  helping guide this nonprofit’s development of a safe, family-friendly OHV recreation area on city-designated land, by promoting outdoor tourism, youth activities, and community events that enhance rural recreation without straining resources.

  • Community Health

    is a key to success.  Micah is a Board of Directors member for Rural Nevada Counseling, supporting this nonprofit’s mission to provide outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services across Lyon County—demonstrating commitment to family well-being, community health, and addressing rural challenges head-on.

  • Build Opportunities

    for our youth as a dedicated family man raising children in Yerington. Micah is constantly seeking, developing, and creating new pathways for the next generation through strong support for youth programs, quality education, and local recreation. 


    Micah has helped deliver Junior Achievement principles of finance classes to local high school students, equipping them with essential money management skills and a solid foundation for lifelong success.
